FSC Takomo Political Hackathon was born from an idea that originally started as a joke, but after four months of planning, it became a reality.
On May 13th, 2026, at Allas Pool in Helsinki, Takomo brought together founders, startup operators, and ecosystem activists to build concrete solutions to some of the biggest policy challenges facing the Finnish startup ecosystem.
Throughout the morning, 10 teams worked on topics including international talent and immigration, founders’ tax incentives, and university spinouts. At the end of the event, all teams pitched their proposals to a jury consisting of Nasima Razmyar (Social Democratic Party), Oras Tynkkynen (Green Party), Markus Lohi (Centre Party), Henrik Vuornos (National Coalition Party / Espoo), Heidi Humala (Business Helsinki), and Inka Mero (Voima Ventures).
The goal of Takomo was to bring startup ecosystem stakeholders and decision-makers to the same table to collaboratively build actionable proposals for strengthening Finland’s startup and growth company environment.
