The integration of Edtech Finland and its 60 member companies into the Finnish startup community strengthens collaboration among the various players in the startup ecosystem.
The Finnish edtech industry association, Edtech Finland / Oppimisteknologia ry., along with its approximately 60 member companies, is joining the Finnish startup community. This integration strengthens collaboration among various players in Finland’s startup ecosystem and opens new opportunities for the growth and development of Finnish educational technology.
Edtech Finland and the Finnish startup community have already had successful practical cooperation in the fields of education and edtech. Some of Edtech Finland’s member companies have previously been part of the Finnish startup community. To better support the growth of the industry and enhance business opportunities for its member companies both in the domestic market and in exports, the association has decided to move its operations entirely under the Edtech group within the Finnish startup community.
The Edtech group of the Finnish startup community will continue its membership in the European Edtech Alliance and actively collaborate with other industry players, including Helsinki Education Hub and the Education Finland program.
“Edtech Finland’s integration under the Finnish startup community marks a significant step for the development of Finnish educational technology. With the cooperation of startups from other sectors, we can better support industry innovation, promote internationalization, and offer new networking opportunities to our members,” says Kaisu Pallaskallio, Chair of the Board at Edtech Finland.
The partnership strengthens the Finnish startup ecosystem by bringing more edtech players into a broader startup community. This facilitates the creation of new partnerships and the development of innovations, while also enhancing the international competitiveness of companies in the industry.
“The Finnish startup community continuously strives to strengthen the operations of its member organizations. We aim to provide the best possible support in advocacy as well as in business growth and internationalization. We warmly welcome Edtech Finland and look forward to what we can achieve together. Finland has strong potential to continue as a pioneer in educational technology and grow the industry both in the domestic and export markets,” says Riikka Pakarinen, CEO of the Finnish startup community.
